Responsibilities
Provide a process engineering presence in research and development with a focus on commercializing and developing new products and processes
Technical lead on development and process improvement to new or existing products or processes
Initiate, implement, and cost justify modifications in the areas of yields, throughput of batching and thermal processing, utility savings, and other process areas
Apply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages
Design, develop, and execute experimentation in the pilot-plant
Work with product development, insights, and marketing divisions to launch new products into the market
Prepare reports, feasibility studies, expenditure requests, etc
Maintain an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes and regulations
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of relevant experience
Experience in R+D and food/beverage processing
Experience in thermal processing, heat exchangers, hot fill juice production, batching systems, product recovery systems, CIP technology, and bulk receiving systems
Analytical and troubleshooting skills
Process improvement mindset
Ability to collaborate
Strong communication skills
Project management skills
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred
Experience in controls and instrumentation
