GeoEngineers Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist for their Boston office. Responsibilities
Providing technical leadership on environmental investigation and remediation projects
Planning and managing environmental data collection efforts
Managing remedial construction oversight
Evaluating and interpreting environmental data
Performing engineering and scientific analysis and evaluation
Preparing cleanup documents including work plans, reports, and design submittals
Managing projects
Developing and supporting client relationships
Business development
Mentoring junior staff
Working closely with Principals/Associates in developing and supporting client relationships
Preparing Statements of Qualification (SOQ)
Competing for new project opportunities
Serving as a technical leader for clients and project staff
Providing guidance on all phases of remediation projects
Planning and managing field explorations
Evaluating and interpreting field and laboratory environmental data
Developing solutions to complex problems
Evaluating the fate and transport of environmental contaminants
Preparing MCP documents
Preparing design documents, engineering calculations, and permit applications
Performing management and oversight of remedial construction
Mentoring and training junior staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science
10+ years of environmental consulting or related professional experience
Working knowledge of environmental regulations, including the MCP, and how to apply them
Skilled in managing environmental field investigation (soil, sediment, groundwater, indoor air, and/or soil vapor) and cleanup construction projects
Ability to independently prepare and lead proposals, work plans, data reports, remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) reports and design (design drawings, specifications, and engineers estimate)
Working knowledge of Local, State, and Federal permitting processes applicable to environmental cleanup projects
Valid driver's license
Ability to perform physical duties, including use of personal protective and respiratory equipment and occasional lifting
Able to perform consistent work on a PC
Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Licensed engineer and/or Licensed Site Professional (LSP) is a plus
