Responsibilities

Assist an Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologist with the collection of fisheries data

Assist Avista or Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologists with similar work

Sampling fish using stream or boat electrofishing and identifying Bull Trout redds

Operating and checking tributary traps and assisting with the maintenance of PIT antenna systems

Collecting data from angler caught fish and netting mortalities

Assisting with cleaning and maintenance of the Trestle Creek Field Station

Compiling data using spreadsheets (Excel)

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be capable of conducting strenuous field work and willing to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

Must be willing and capable of being trained in the safe and proper operation of equipment (including vehicles & boats) related to a particular field of specialization or assignments

Must be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively

Requires a valid driver's license

Preferred

High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
