Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using COBOL within a mainframe environment
Write and execute JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing and operational workflows
Perform database development and integration using IBM DB2 and IDMS
Write comprehensive technical design specification documents for complex, component-based systems
Conduct thorough system analysis and design for multi-tier transactional applications
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system-level issues
Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and technical teams to deliver high-quality system enhancements
Ensure solutions conform to established standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
Qualification
Required
7+ years (84 months) of professional COBOL programming experience
7+ years (84 months) of JCL experience working in a mainframe environment
7+ years (84 months) of experience working with IBM DB2 databases
5+ years (60 months) of IDMS Database experience
5+ years (60 months) writing technical design specification documents for complex component-based systems
5+ years (60 months) performing system analysis and design for multi-tiered, transactional applications
