Responsibilities

Work closely with public policy stakeholders to drive awareness of Amazon’s federal advocacy objectives
Understand Amazon’s retail business and policy priorities, with a finger on the pulse of industry trends and the evolving media landscape
Develop and drive communications plans, programs, and content in support of Amazon’s federal policy objectives
Establish and foster media relationships by serving as a trusted source and educator about Amazon
Provide communications counsel to business leaders
Work cross-functionally to plan and execute communications campaigns

Required

7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
Communications experience with public policy issues in technology, business, or government

Preferred

Experience working with national and beltway media
Experience working with third parties engaged in technology, retail, and commerce policy
Ability to dive deep into public policy and regulatory issues related to technology, AI, retail, and commerce
An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently
Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
Strong judgement, a knack for diplomacy, and the confidence to engage and build consensus with functional leaders at all levels
