The role involves ensuring sales and use tax compliance, assisting in tax audits, and conducting research on indirect tax matters for various business units in North America.

Responsibilities

Participate in the ERP and tax systems integration of new acquisitions

Assist in the preparation and timely filing of indirect tax returns, payments, and reports

Assist in indirect tax audits as needed

Conduct research on a wide range of tax issues. Review results with other team members and communicate to the businesses as needed

Assist Manager in relationship with third-party providers for indirect tax compliance. (Currently Grant Thornton, Avalara, Vertex, Tax matrix, Ryan & Co. Canada)

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business required

3-5 years of experience in indirect tax compliance in multi-jurisdictional environment

3-5 years of experience managing tax audits

Experience with indirect tax engines such as Vertex/AvaTax as well as tax research software and SAP ERP systems

Preferred

Master's Degree or equivalent experience
