Responsibilities

Support day-to-day satellite operations, operations planning, and the development and execution of operational procedures
Support the planning and scheduling of satellite operations and maintenance activities to ensure mission timelines and objectives are met efficiently and effectively
Develop, review, and approve operational procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and consistent satellite operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and scheduling issues and ensure alignment with overall program objectives
Collaborate with multi-discipline development teams to ensure development plans align with operational needs
Actively contribute to program execution by stepping in as a team lead or individual contributor, as needed, to address challenges and ensure operational success
Drive continuous improvement in mission operations processes and capabilities to enhance efficiency and reliability
Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with established procedures, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations
Maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary technology, sensitive information, and mission-critical data
Perform other duties as assigned or required

Required

Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
At least 2 years prior experience in satellite operations
Familiar with Cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure, networking and cyber security
Demonstrates extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment
Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives
Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required
Must have active TS clearance and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
