Responsibilities
Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels
Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary
Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance
Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams
Knows all safety and environmental rules/regulations that affect the work area
Lead a high quality, effective start of shift production meeting, ready to discuss all production issues, maintenance needs, etc. from the previous shift
Maintains awareness of current or potential process and/or equipment issues under their area of responsibility
Uses appropriate tools (WI’s, SOP’s, JST’s, etc.) to establish and maintain a high level of operational and reliability discipline
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading in a manufacturing or product development environment or equivalent leadership experience
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
Some project management skills to lead small Kaizen projects
Six Sigma Green Belt or a proven track record in leading continuous improvements projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs
Ability and willingness to travel as required
Legal authorization to work in the US is required
