Maternal Program Coordinator - Sugar Land

Responsibilities
Analyzes patient records, program files, reports and other data to ensure approval standards by the TJC and Other accreditation bodies. Creates charts, graphs, analyzes statistics and presents data at committee meetings. Facilitates service line specific meetings
Prepares incidence reports and analyzes statistical data of program activities for audit review, administrative review, and physician review
Abstracts and analyzes medical records including records of re-admitted patients for current follow-up and/or secondary treatment
Coordinates and facilitates educational activities as required for physicians, staff, patients and the community
Facilitates collaborative relationships among medical, nursing, clerical and pre-hospital personnel
Works with specialty area medical directors and/or other hospital leaders to identify program needs through compilation of data
Maintains Performance Improvement programs in collaboration with Memorial Hermann Health System Registry Reporting
Works in collaboration with other Memorial Hermann program coordinators for Joint Commission certification survey
Prepares application documents for initial and/or renewed accreditations and submits interim documents as required by accrediting body
Leads the service line Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement (PI) process
Demonstrates a minimum of eight (8) contact hours every year in Service Specific education
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff
Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
Current State of Texas RN license required
Three (3) years clinical nursing experience
Excellent organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Intermediate or expert level computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook
Preferred
Master's preferred
Certification in field of expertise preferred
Nursing experience in Specific Service Line preferred
