Responsibilities

Field delineations of Waters of the U.S. (including wetlands) according to USACE standards
Habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species
Stream and wetland mitigation planning
Mitigation site monitoring
Section 404 permitting
Preparing various types of reports and NEPA documentation
Environmental Site Assessments
Regulatory compliance
Assist with business development and proposal development

Required

BS in an Environmental, Biological, Ecological Science or related field is required
Experience conducting field assessments for wetlands, threatened and endangered species and other related projects in the natural resources sector
Strong background in plant and wildlife identification, soils evaluation, hydrology, GPS use, mitigation planning, permit preparation
Ability to conduct work year-round in adverse climate and field conditions
Good writing and communication skills
Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with relevant state/federal regulations and client specific requirements
The ability to travel is required (typically short-term)

Preferred

4 -8 or more years of experience in conducting environmental fieldwork and reporting
