Fabrication Technician/ Machinist

Responsibilities
Inspection of materials and/or parts for conformance with Schneider Electric and industry procedures, specifications and quality standards
Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
Assisting in the design and fabrication of prototypes, products and product enhancements
Conducts quality inspections of finished product, parts, units, or processes to ensure quality standards are met. Evaluates and initiates resolution of non-conformance of material and/or product
Perform work with a focus on safety and maintaining a safe work environment
Utilize a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to perform your tasks
Setting up metalwork machinery including waterjet, turret punch, drill presses, brakes, shears
Fabricating and constructing metal and copper components
Grinding and finishing completed products
Qualification
Preferred
A high school diploma; technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience with metal fabrication and/or machining (including experience with CNC machines)
Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
Knowledge of basic Mathematics
Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
Ability to stand for long periods of time
