Associate Engineer
Tampa Electric Company is focused on achieving optimal performance from Electric Delivery Distribution assets. The Associate Engineer will develop and implement asset management and reliability improvement plans, supervise reliability metrics analysis, and facilitate root cause analysis for system performance improvements.

Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the distribution portion of the Electric Delivery Asset Management Plan which includes design/equipment specification review; health, criticality, and risk assessments; inspection, monitoring, and testing strategies; performance, and maintenance requirements
Development and implementation of the distribution portion of a comprehensive Electric Delivery Reliability Improvement Plan using empirical data to predict reliability improvements
Supervise the tracking, analysis and reporting of reliability metrics for all asset classes. Lead all efforts for continuous improvement of such tracking and analysis. Provide planning, feedback and skill building to Reliability team members. Administer the Performance Review (PR) and Individual Development Plan (IDP) process
Facilitation of system root cause analysis for all asset classes. Facilitation and tracking of resulting action plans to improve system performance
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data collection and predictive modeling tool for distribution assets that assists in the prioritization of capital expenditure and complements the Asset Management and Reliability Improvement Plans
Maintain measurement of the distribution asset portfolio performance to ensure achievement of organization vision and goals through performance benchmarking
Qualification
Required
A minimum classification of an Engineer II is required in this position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
None
Minimum of 18 months of experience as an Engineer performing work related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position; or 12 months of related experience with the successful passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Engineer performing work related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position
Professional Engineer license in the State of Florida
Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Engineer performing work related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position
Must have demonstrated above expected performance as a Senior Engineer, with demonstrated technical proficiency in transmission line design, construction and operation, including areas such as foundation design and remediation, Electric and Magnetic Field (EMF) or transmission line rating methodologies
Preferred
Master's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of related work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position, including PLS-CADD and AutoCAD experience, understanding of engineering, construction, and operation of transmission systems
Minimum of 3-4 years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position, including PLS-CADD and AutoCAD experience, understanding of engineering, construction, and operation of transmission systems
Eight years of transmission related experience
