Implementation Engineer - Telecommunications/Power/Weather
Tetra Tech, through LS Technologies, is seeking an Implementation Engineer to lead engineering efforts for the Federal Aviation Administration. The role involves managing communications and implementation planning for FAA systems, ensuring effective coordination among various stakeholders, and enhancing service delivery through strategic planning and documentation.

Responsibilities
Lead transition and implementation planning, coordination, and tracking for FAA systems and services
Manage communication and coordination across Program Offices, Engineering Services, vendors, and stakeholders for site surveys, installations, cutovers, and disconnects
Support strategic planning, including transition of legacy FAA-owned systems and LTE migration from TDM lines
Develop and maintain service flow diagrams, documentation, and process improvements aligned with system architecture
Host project calls, demos, and reviews; prepare briefings, presentations, and communications for FAA leadership
Evaluate and recommend improvements to communication strategies and operational processes
Serve as SME for facility power configurations, site engineering, and telecom services; manage permits in non-standard environments (asbestos mitigation, high voltage, etc.)
Track implementation activities, document lessons learned, and capture business benefits
Coordinate with FAA SSCs, ARTCCs, NWS, airports, SOCs, and vendors to ensure milestone delivery
Manage FAA databases/tools (CWP, TEMT Ops, Transition tool, site survey modules, etc.) and support outage/cutover activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Engineering, Math, or Science) is required. (Years of job-related experience may be used as a waiver for degree)
15 Years relevant work experience managing communication channels for multiple technical teams and demonstrated experience organizing and leading complex engagements requiring discipline, organizational skill, and capability to communication effectively
Effective communicator in both written and verbal forms with ability to influence external stakeholders
Ability to develop communication products and materials using traditional software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, Adobe, etc.)
Ability to apply sound business principles within a complex IT stakeholder environment
Ability to establish relationships with customers, vendors, and technology providers, engage teams and clients, and build rapport in person and virtually
Highly proficient with MS Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word
Ability to create concise, clear, and compelling briefing materials and polished deliverables within tight timelines
Applicants must possess or meet eligibility requirements for obtaining a security clearance. US citizenship is required
Preferred
Experience with FAA operational procedures, telecom systems, and facility power configurations (Critical/Essential buses, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Conditioning Systems, etc.) is highly desirable
Experience working with Federal Government clients, especially the FAA, is desirable
Knowledge and experience working with multiple National Airspace System (NAS) programs is highly desirable
