IT Support Engineer – L2 | Plant & Infrastructure Support(Independent Contractor on 1099 without anybenefits) – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

They are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide end-to-end technical support across various office environments and plant operations, ensuring optimal service delivery and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities
Provide L2 support for Windows, macOS, and infrastructure services
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to office systems, fabrication systems, and paint shop floor operations
Offer on-site “feet-on-the-street” network support, including network hardware changes and basic troubleshooting
Support SCCM environments and assist with Microsoft Intune configurations
Ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities across shop-floor machines and workstations
Manage IT hardware lifecycle, including shipment, returns, replacements, and inventory
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
Participate in plant leadership calls to provide IT updates and support ongoing initiatives
Attend weekly change management calls and support patching activities
Adhere to operational standards, ITIL processes, and service delivery objectives to support plant infrastructure
Maintain comprehensive documentation for service desk workflows, processes, and end-user procedures
Escalate major incidents or service interruptions to Plant Leadership and the MIM (Major Incident Management) team
Coordinate and support hardware vendors during on-site visits and plant activities
Qualification
Required
