Responsibilities

Maintains the general ledger for daily accounting transactions and reconciliations

Codes invoices, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books

Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses discrepancies in payments for AP and AR transactions

Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts

Manages accounts receivable collections to comply with the company credit policies

Ensures all accounting deadlines are met within the accounting team for on-time delivery of monthly close

Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts

Processes daily cash receipts and ensure proper posting to client accounts

Provides internal auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit

Maintains knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
