Responsibilities

Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline across priority cold-chain segments
Identify, qualify, and win new customers in food, meal kits, grocery, pharma, biotech, and 3PLs
Lead national and regional sales efforts, including strategic account planning, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting
Manage the full sales cycle: outreach → solution design → proposals → trials → negotiation & contract close
Lead commercial negotiations and close deals that meet growth and margin objectives
Provide high-touch support to early customers, including technical consultations and trial coordination
Develop and deliver compelling value propositions, presentations, and solution proposals tailored to customer needs
Support internal sales teams through product training, demos, and technical assistance
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting
Work with Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering to support customer onboarding, forecasting, and delivery planning
Provide comprehensive market insights/analysis that help shape product roadmap and GTM strategy
Partner closely with the Product Manager to translate customer needs into product improvements and new product ideas
Represent Ranpak at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events

Required

5–10+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales or commercial leadership in cold chain, packaging, logistics, food, pharma/biotech, or related technical product categories
Proven hunter mentality with track record of building new relationships, opening new markets and closing complex deals
Experience selling technical or solution-based products—ideally packaging, logistics systems, or performance-driven materials
Solid understanding of thermal packaging, temperature control, or supply chain requirements
Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and willing to build processes from scratch
A strategic thinker who can also execute independently without heavy structure
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Willingness to travel 30–50%

Preferred

Previous cold chain experience is strongly preferred but exceptional commercial talent without previous industry experience will also be considered
