Responsibilities
Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to support pricing initiatives for homeowners insurance
Monitor the performance of insurance products by conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform product decisions
Develop dashboards and visualizations using Python libraries and SQL reporting tools
Develop, review, and refine pricing strategies and models for homeowners insurance products to ensure profitability and market competitiveness
Collaborate with underwriting, product management, and compliance teams to design and modify insurance products based on market insights and data analytics
Continuously evaluate and improve existing data extraction and cleaning processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve complex situations and issues. Deals well with ambiguity
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Knowledge of insurance industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, or related quantitative field
A minimum of five years of experience in product/actuarial analyst role or related position
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python)
Preferred
Prior experience working with homeowners insurance products, especially in California and/or Texas
