Engineering Test Lab Technician
Hydra-Electric Company is seeking an Engineering Test Lab Technician to support the design, development, and qualification testing of aerospace sensors and switch products. The role involves operating test systems, maintaining equipment, and documenting results to aid in product validation and certification.

Responsibilities
Operate pneumatic and hydraulic test systems for pressure, temperature, flow, and leak testing
Operate vibration and environmental test stands such as temperature, humidity, and altitude chambers
Assemble simple electrical test circuits and instrumentation for sensor and switch evaluation
Configure and operate data acquisition systems and test automation software to collect test data
Execute engineering test procedures and record results with accuracy and attention to detail
Support test equipment maintenance, calibration, and safety checks to ensure reliable operation
Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures, harnesses, and adapters as needed
Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or software-related test issues
Prepare test reports, summarize results, and communicate findings to engineering teams
Follow all company and industry safety standards and regulations
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering or test laboratory environment, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, medical, or industrial sensor industries
Strong technical foundation and hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, environmental chambers, electrical test setups, and data acquisition equipment
Ability to operate pneumatic and hydraulic test systems for pressure, temperature, flow, and leak testing
Ability to operate vibration and environmental test stands such as temperature, humidity, and altitude chambers
Ability to assemble simple electrical test circuits and instrumentation for sensor and switch evaluation
Ability to configure and operate data acquisition systems and test automation software to collect test data
Ability to execute engineering test procedures and record results with accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to support test equipment maintenance, calibration, and safety checks to ensure reliable operation
Ability to assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures, harnesses, and adapters as needed
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or software-related test issues
Ability to prepare test reports, summarize results, and communicate findings to engineering teams
Ability to follow all company and industry safety standards and regulations
U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Technology preferred
Soldering, welding, and/or machining experience is a plus
