Responsibilities
Design and Build Scalable Systems: Contribute to the design and implementation of high-performance architectures and core services that support Navan’s global flight platform
Deliver Impactful Features: Take ownership of important product features and services, ensuring they provide real value for our global customers
Contribute Technical Expertise: Write high-quality, production-ready code and participate in design reviews, code reviews, and system discussions
Ensure Quality and Reliability: Help maintain operational excellence through testing, monitoring, and timely issue resolution
Collaborate with Teammates: Work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to align on technical solutions and deliver cohesive outcomes
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience building and scaling complex systems in fast-paced or large-scale environments (open to exceptional candidates with less experience)
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including experience with performance optimization
Solid background in distributed systems and API design, with hands-on experience in AWS or similar cloud platforms
Demonstrated ability to deliver production-quality software with robust testing, monitoring, and documentation
Ability to work effectively with teammates across engineering and product
Familiarity with evaluating and adopting new technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
