Responsibilities
Independently manage a team of scientists sustainably deliver science agenda for our products
Define the science roadmap for key products
Maintain and raise the science bar of the team’s deliverables and keep the broader Amazon Health Services organization apprised of the latest relevant technical developments in the field
Work across business, clinical, and technical leaders to disambiguate science needs and socialize progress towards key goals and deliverables
Proactively identify risks and shape the technical roadmap in anticipation of industry trends in emerging AI subfields
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
5+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
Hands on experience in AI product development and experience with conversational systems
Preferred
Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers
Experience with AI development in healthcare settings
PhD in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Machine Learning (ML), or related technical field
