Responsibilities

Interface with students as they seek guidance concerning employment, career development, internships and career related issues
Analyze students career paths, initiate career assessments, provide advice on resume development, interview preparation, and offer internship and job search resources
Develop and conduct workshops and seminars on a variety of topics, assess their effectiveness and implement changes needed to engage and enhance student preparedness for the workplace
Work cooperatively with faculty and the Career Center Employer Development and Outreach Team to utilize more companies and alumni from a broad range of industries to engage with students on campus
Develop ongoing relationship with faculty, staff and administration working with the College student population
Develop reports on the statistical data for all student engagement and programming for assigned area(s) of responsibility to be used for the Career Center data collection
Assist other staff members in the areas of the event program management and the mentoring program where necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops
Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations
Experience in networking across departments and programs
Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population
Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills

Preferred

Masters degree in Counseling and two years' experience in Career Services or Career Counseling
