Infosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, seeking an experienced immigration counsel to join their Americas Employment & Immigration Law Team. The Senior Corporate Counsel – U.S. Immigration Law will be responsible for all immigration-related inquiries, advising stakeholders, managing compliance with immigration law, and serving as a subject matter expert in North America immigration practices.

Responsibilities

Partnering with and advising stakeholders on all aspects of an employee’s immigration journey and the corporation’s immigration strategy

Resolving complex legal issues and developing and implementing strategic solutions

Monitoring the corporation’s compliance with immigration law and regulations

Strengthening compliance practices and overseeing internal auditing and reporting

Managing external counsel on immigration-related investigations and claims

Partnering with government affairs on immigration policy initiatives

Serving as the go-to North America immigration subject matter expert

Qualification

Required

Juris doctorate degree and a member in good standing with the applicable state bar

8+ years of overall dedicated immigration law experience in a law firm and/or in-house position

Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. business and employment visa-related immigration laws, regulations, and procedures

Excellent analytical oral and written communication skills

Strong project management skills and attention to detail

Commitment to teamwork and a collaborative work environment, including the ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed global team

Experience with immigration enforcement matters with Department of Labor, USCIS, and other agencies
