Develop innovative financial and banking-based web applications that positively impact customer experiences and digital interactions with First Hawaiian Bank

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related discipline; or equivalent experience required

Experience writing code for web applications

Experience integrating third-party APIs

Experience thoroughly documenting projects and code repositories

Experience with either relational (e.g., Postgres, SQL, MariaDB) or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, NoSQL)

Experience contributing to production web applications and platforms

Source / version control experience with Git

Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies

Strong understanding of HTTP protocols

Experience writing unit and integration tests

High-level knowledge of complete technology stack across front-end, back-end and infrastructure

Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

1-3 years of experience programming in a modern programming language preferred

Hands-on experience through coursework or internship
