Senior LevelPenn State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to collaborate with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections on research related to rehabilitation programs and correctional policy analysis. The role involves data management, analysis, and reporting, as well as mentoring students.

Preparation of reports, manuscripts, and conference presentations
Participation in graduate and undergraduate student mentoring
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminology, sociology, economics, public policy, or a related field at time of appointment
Ph.D. candidates (an appointment to the position is contingent on completing all requirements for the degree by the appointment date)
Scholars who have completed the Ph.D. within the past two years
Preferred
Advanced training in statistics or methods of causal inference
Research interests in corrections (institutional and community)
Knowledge of, or practical experience with, program evaluation
Experience and/or training in using predictive analytics and machine learning techniques
Experience and/or training in econometric techniques
Experience and/or training in data visualization techniques
Experience and/or training in various statistical software
