Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to design, build, and enhance our products’ features
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that scales with user needs and system growth
Take ownership of end-to-end software development cycles — from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring
Ensure observability and reliability metrics
Help evolve and maintain our platform architecture to support a growing number of referral partners and use cases
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members through code reviews and architectural discussions
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability challenges across backend services
Actively participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmap discussions to help shape the direction of the team’s work
Drive best practices in testing, CI/CD, observability, and agile development
Qualification
Required
At least 5+ years of software development experience, with strong preference for experience in healthcare
Expertise working with popular front-end JavaScript frameworks, like React
Expertise in building and scaling backend services in a production environment or expertise in single page frontend applications
Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, GoLang, Python (Flask/FastApi frameworks) and/or other modern programming languages
Experience designing and/or consuming RESTful APIs
Proficiency in relational databases such as Postgres
Experience working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS) with containerized applications (e.g., Docker, ECS, Fargate)
Strong understanding of testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring best practices
Experience working in cross-functional agile teams, with a product-focused and customer-centric mindset
