Genesis Molecular AI is building a world-class software team to solve problems in drug discovery through machine learning and computational chemistry. They are seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to provide technical insights on software architecture and help scale their data infrastructure, while also leading and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Provide technical insights to the head of engineering and head of computational chemistry on software architecture
Help scale our data infrastructure to handle billions of datapoints and hundreds of thousands of parallel quantum chemistry and molecular dynamics jobs
Lead, mentor and coach engineers - both from chemistry and computer science backgrounds

Required

Experience in software architecture and providing technical insights
Ability to scale data infrastructure to handle large datasets
Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching engineers
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on first principles
Comfortable working across all levels of the software stack
Experience in building intuitive APIs
Proficiency in writing production code
Ability to drive projects to completion
