Technical Services Support Admin Intern
Hawthorne Cat is a family-owned company that has led its markets for over 60 years in the sale, rental, and servicing of construction machinery and power generation equipment. The Technical Services Support Admin Intern will assist the Technical Services Manager by acting as a liaison between the dealership and Caterpillar®, providing technical support and ensuring effective communication.

Responsibilities
Working under the direction of HPC Technical Services Manager, (TSM) keeps personnel informed of the latest updates from CAT® by maintaining a Technical Library and distributing technical information within HPC
Assists TSM in accurately providing timely information to Sales, Parts, and Service by meeting customer needs and minimizing or eliminating startup and operating problems, reducing rework, and verify any complaints by comparing operation with normal or specified operation
Assists TSM in administering the appropriate Sales and Service literature by identifying application zone and describing critical factors and recommendations to factory or user as needed
Assists TSM to determine cause of wear, failure, reusability, and salvage methods on worn or failed parts
Assists with conducting inspections and generating reports of deficiencies for user or for factory
Assists TSM with measuring scheduled oil sampling results and makes recommendations to user as needed
Takes into consideration Dealer and factory liability when reporting and investigating an accident in support of TSM
Assists TSM in administering and maintaining ongoing log of product problems and actions that were needed to resolve
Provides technical assistance for the internal HPC employees
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Works safely at all times and follows HPC safety policies, procedures and practices
Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Must have a high school diploma or have passed a GED test or can provide verification of all formal classroom study or hands on experience related to heavy equipment repairs
Enrollment in an accredited 2-4 year Post Secondary Technical Education Program, with a minimum of one semester completed
Must have a valid Hawaii 'Class 3' Driver's License with a good driving record
Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work in team environment and possess positive attitude
Ability to multitask and establish priorities
Ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines
Preferred
AA degree from a trade school preferred
