Responsibilities
Develops automated test scripts using the proprietary Haas scripting language designed to cover both validation and verification of a new or modified G-code and machine features
Runs test parts designed to validate functionality of Haas machines. Verifies resulting part matches print
Researches parameter and setting updates by running tests on machines using new software features. May also include interviewing Programmers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Service, and Applications staff
Researches and reports all anomalies in bug tracking software
Releases standard and emergency software versions. Requires validating features and bug fixes in particular software releases, generating and verifying release notes, completing release checklists, and providing information to other departments
Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc
Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies
Qualification
Required
0-2 years as a Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer
Ability to operate a CNC machine
Ability to program and post G-code using CAD / CAM system
Strong ability to troubleshoot a problem
Experience in Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English
Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material
Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public
Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus
Must have the ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking and work with a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Must have the capability to deal with a variety of abstract and/or concrete variables
Will need to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form
Preferred
Experience in reading and writing technical requirement documentation
Understanding of source-control system
