Supervisory IT Specialist, S1A
The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist for S1A. In this role, you will lead a team in designing, developing, and implementing HR IT solutions, while advising senior leaders on IT policy and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities
Lead a team in the design, development, and implementation of HR IT solutions
Advise senior leaders on IT policy and strategy
Manage complex projects from inception to completion
Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies
Engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure HR technology meets user needs
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours
PCS is authorized
Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed 'unscheduled telework'
Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first)
Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 40 days per year
This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held
Mastery of IT policy and planning concepts, methods, and practices; and project management methods and concepts
Mastery knowledge of communications-computer and information technology concepts, principles, techniques, etc. to develop policy, plans, requirements and procedures, etc
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, and motivate the staff of an organization through subordinate leads
Knowledge of the DAF Financial Plan and POM processes
Skill and ability to speak and write effectively, highly complex technical and possibly sensitive issues and statements prepared for senior military, government, and private sector management officials
Ability to give briefings, chair meetings, lead task forces and prepare reports at the General Officer/SES level in the Department of the Air Force and Joint arena
Skill in providing technical leadership, managing projects and providing guidance to other IT technical specialists, government employees and contractors, engaged in planning and conducting studies and analyses, and developing recommendations affecting management and oversight of current and future Space enterprise IT systems and networks
Preferred
Relevant professional certifications are a plus
