Business Partner, People Operations - Peaksware

Responsibilities
Define and implement a cadence of meetings with key stakeholders to proactively discuss and address concerns
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance such as coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action, etc
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed
Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relations, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Identify opportunities and help customize programs to fit the organization's needs
Identify training needs, both at team and individual levels, and make recommendations for resolution. Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met and implemented into practice
Understand and provide guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and restructures. Partner closely with the business to understand their unique strategy and needs
Stay abreast of current and future legal requirements. Understand how those requirements relate to and impact the day-to-day management of employees. Reduce legal risks and ensure compliance; partner with legal as needed/required
Facilitate voluntary and involuntary termination meetings
Demonstrate Peaksware values and serve as a role model for others in the organization
Support the following activities while leveraging Peaksware provided tools and strategies: Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Rewards and Recognition, Career path coaching and succession planning for high performers, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives
Qualification
Required
Prior experience working as a Business Partner, Manager of HR, or similar
Demonstrated understanding of best practice HR concepts, with an ability to analyze and problem solve complex HR issues
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws
Experience managing complex employee relations situations, including HR investigations
Experience with coaching and talent development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail; process oriented
Commitment and ownership of job responsibilities
Demonstrated initiative. Ability to identify things that need to be done or areas where assistance would be helpful, with the desire to jump in and assist without being asked
Curiosity, integrity, honesty
Preferred
PHR and/or SHRM certification is a plus
