Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service
Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
Manage employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations
Handle interviewing, recruiting, onboarding new staff, and managing employee schedules
Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS transactions with accuracy
Maintain inventory control through purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management systems
Implement effective pricing strategies and sales management techniques to maximize revenue
Ensure compliance with store policies, safety procedures, and company standards
Lead marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales
Manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining organizational flow during peak hours
Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers, staff, and customers effectively
Support store management in budgeting, sales analysis, retail math calculations, and organizational planning

Required

Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping/accounting principles
Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management
Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform cashiering duties as needed
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting
Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs; familiarity with marketing is advantageous
Knowledge of budgeting processes and retail store operations is desirable
Exceptional time management skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and customer service excellence
