Responsibilities

Educate and guide engineers on identification and application of lasers

Maintain FDA laser compliance

Educate and guide engineers to design with safety considerations

Responsible for conducting and documenting safety reviews

Play an active role as a team member in the Mechanical Design Engineering team, contributing expertise, and collaborating effectively with colleagues

Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and cross function team members to ensure project success, fostering effective communication and teamwork

Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, addressing design-related safety and laser issues and ensuring smooth production processes

Support project status updates, forecasting, and issues/risks to the Project Manager or Team Leads proactively, while proposing developing plans to ensure successful projects

Perform any additional reasonable tasks as required
