Postdoctoral Associate

Responsibilities
Performs experiments and analyzes data (of inorganic pollutants by natural and engineered solids)
Publishes and presents research findings
Supervises and trains graduate and undergraduate students
Assists in overseeing and performing tasks essential to laboratory function such as equipment maintenance, assisting with ordering and procurement, overall lab maintenance
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Holds a PhD or equivalent degree
Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for the award of a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field by the date of employment
Preferred
A demonstrable understanding of critical minerals recovery and circular economy
Prior research experience in the design, synthesis, and characterization of biopolymer or polymeric adsorption materials, particularly selective adsorbents
Demonstrated ability to publish high-quality scientific papers in peer reviewed journals
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with other researchers
Strong project management skills, including coordinating teamwork and writing project reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills
