Power Plant-Electrical Engineering Intern
Vistra Corp. is a global leader in the energy sector, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to provide engineering support at their facility. The role involves working with engineering staff and participating in the EIT program to gain practical experience across various plant operations.

Responsibilities
Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Luminant personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions
EIT (Engineer in Training) Program. Incumbents will rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant. Areas include, but are not limited to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability and Chemical / Environmental
Will be assigned various engineering projects
Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship
Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in one of our desired engineering disciplines
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
Must be in good academic standing with your school
