SCA Health is redefining specialty care by developing accessible, patient-centered practice solutions. The Experienced Tax Accountant will be responsible for various tax-related tasks including preparation of tax filings, estimates, reconciliations, and supporting audit requests.

Responsibilities

Preparation of Federal and State Corporate, Partnership and other miscellaneous state and local tax filings

Preparation of tax estimates and extensions

Preparation of reconciliations, journal entries and other analysis to support tax accruals

Interfacing with operating companies (ASCs & Hospitals)

Assisting the Asset Management Group in maintaining accurate fixed asset sub-legers for income tax

Tax research, planning and identification of tax savings opportunities using on-line tax library

Contact, communication and maintaining relationships with taxing authorities as required

Supporting monthly tax lease reviews

Supporting diligence and audit requests

Supporting all tax areas as needed

Identifying and implementing process improvements

Assisting in unclaimed property filings and fund claims

Assisting in special projects

Qualification

Bachelor in AccountingCPAMicrosoft ExcelOracle/PeopleSoftCorpTaxRIA CheckPointAnalytical skillsMulti-taskingOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor in Accounting

Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills

Must have the ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple responsibilities

Ability to consistently meet deadlines and objectives

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred

CPA a plus

Oracle/PeopleSoft Accounting System experience a plus

CorpTax experience a plus

RIA CheckPoint on-line tax research library experience a plus
