The Staff Accountant will maintain accurate financial records and support the Accounting Department's day-to-day operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and assist with monthly close processes

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts

Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Support variance analysis and budget vs. actual reporting

Provide documentation and schedules for internal and external audits

Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies

Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting

Maintain accurate records for 1099s and other compliance documentation

Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements

Support payroll processing and reconcile payroll sub-ledgers to the general ledger

Respond to information requests from management and auditors

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized or tech-focused company

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Preferred

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Experience with inventory and/or contract manufacturing

Experience in AI technology or SaaS environments

Experience with Concur Employee Expense

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
