Ozark Center is dedicated to providing support services to individuals impacted by behavioral health issues. The Program Support Assistant is responsible for facilitating support services and ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and families affected by severe mental illness and substance use.

Responsibilities

Training of support staff in all areas, including Medical Office Support Staff, Admissions, Medical Records, or prior authorizations/eligibility at New Direction locations

Work the Avatar to Cimor and Cimor to Avatar reports daily to assure systems are in agreement for level(s) of service

Recommends process improvement(s) to the team leader

Serves as primary backup due to staff vacancies

Resolves outstanding paperwork, eligibility assignments and enters discharge diagnosis when needed to assure items are entered and resolved in a timely manner

Perform all other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Trained and/or experienced in working with severe mental illness and/or substance use using diagnosed individuals

Ability to provide support driven by the needs and choices of the clients and families served

Ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours if needed

Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed

Must occasionally deal with irate individuals
