The role involves greeting patients, assisting with registration processes, and maintaining accurate medical records and account information.

Responsibilities

Renders exceptional customer service to parents, patients, visitors and co-workers

Serves as patient liaison for healthcare services

Assists in maintaining medical records, filing systems, account balances and reconciliation of days accounts receivable

May perform charge entry and charge batching processes as necessary

Provides clerical and secretarial support

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to relate well with the public

2-3 years related work experience

General knowledge of ICD-9/CPT coding and third party payer insurance verification processes and medical terminology
