Senior Engineering Manager (Top Secret Clearance)

Responsibilities
Serves as a senior systems-engineer leader responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification & validation, and cost-risk analyses across the full life-cycle of missile-defense-related IT and communications systems
Designs, develops, and analyzes computer-based solutions that translate customer requirements into complete hardware and software architectures while maintaining schedule and cost constraints
Leads multidisciplinary teams, drives Earned Value Management compliance, champions Agile processes, manages product backlogs, develops KPIs, and provides technical mentorship
Conducts risk assessment, status reporting, proposal support, product-release approvals, and coordination of internal and external dependencies
Acts as the primary technical spokesperson to senior leadership, program managers, and customers
Qualification
Required
Robust background in Systems or Network Engineering
Proven track record managing large, complex defense projects
Ability to translate detailed technical information for senior program managers and customers
Thrives in fast‑paced, Agile environments
Strong communication skills—both written and oral
Ability to mentor teams
Ability to present risk assessments
Ability to align stakeholders around shared technical goals
Maintaining strict EVM compliance
Preferred
The ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Familiarity with C2BMC and/or Missile Defense System architectures
PMP certification (Project Management Professional)
Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, CISSP, etc
Agile certification from a reputable provider and hands‑on experience with Agile processes (sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
Experience creating, managing, and reporting on metrics/KPIs
Proficiency with Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Agility, etc.)
Ability to manage product backlogs, dependencies, and ensure alignment with C2BMC program plans, processes, and procedures
