Project Engineer I, II, III
SECO Energy is the third-largest electric co-op in Florida and the seventh-largest in the nation, seeking qualified candidates to join their team. The Project Engineer I, II, and III roles focus on the planning, design, and execution of electrical distribution projects while collaborating with various departments and enhancing technical skills.

Contributing to the successful planning, design, and execution of electrical distribution projects
Collaborating with various departments
Coordinating permits
Maintaining a strong connection with cooperative members
Collaborating with more senior designers to enhance technical skills
Learning industry best practices
Contributing to projects of minimal complexity
Executing electrical distribution projects with a focus on projects of moderate complexity
Efficiently executing electrical distribution projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
One (1) year of direct related experience in the electric utility distribution industry
Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations
A valid Florida driver's license for regular driving privileges of a company vehicle; must have and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by SECO Energy
Maximum of 2 ½ years in the job classification prior to transfer to Project Engineer III level
Normal work hours shall be eight (8) hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Successful completion of pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen
Preferred
Electrical Engineering Degree or Mechanical Engineering Degree
Experience within an electric utility or related industry
