Ground Autonomy Control Engineer II - New Glenn
Blue Origin is a company focused on developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Ground Autonomy Control Engineer II will support the development and operations of the New Glenn rocket by developing software for autonomous propellant loading and translating engineering drawings into control algorithms.

Responsibilities
Develop software to autonomously load propellants and launch Blue Origin’s pioneering New Glenn rocket
Translate understanding of P&ID drawings into robust Simulink control algorithms, converting cutting-edge concepts into executable, flight-ready code
Collaborate closely with the simulation team to verify control models and work in tandem with the launch team to validate software in real-world scenarios
Qualification
Required
B.S. or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related field)
2+ years of experience in the applicable industry and/or a controls-related role in a non-academic, professional setting
Experience with Simulink or other model-based design software
Experience working in a configuration managed development environment
Knowledge of common programming languages such as C/C++, Python
Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, including the ability to integrate AI-driven solutions into engineering workflows
Familiarity with AI model integration, deployment, and optimization
Preferred
Experience with Linux
Experience with GitLab
Experience with plant simulations
Experience with software integration
Experience with StateFlow
Strong understanding of current AI tools and frameworks, and ability to leverage these technologies to enhance automation, data analysis, and decision-making processes within aerospace applications
