Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect fire alarm systems, burglar alarms, access control systems, monitoring systems, and nurse call systems
Provide recommendations for system installations and service improvements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the company vehicle, and follow all company safety policies and procedures
Work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Communicate professionally with customers and deliver excellent customer service
Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and provide clear documentation of work performed
Possess and maintain basic hand tools and demonstrate familiarity with tools commonly used in the trade

Required

Minimum of 3 years' experience in installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, and programming of fire alarm systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record
Solid understanding of fire alarm products, access control systems, and CCTV technologies
Working knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and current industry standards
Participation in rotating on-call shifts is required for Service Department team members
This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment
Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs
Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces
Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required
Some roles may require travel
