Responsibilities
Serve as SME for NERC FAC, MOD, and PRC standards
Evaluate facilities for compliance and complete required engineering testing, calculations, and documentation
Prepare self-certifications, reports, and mitigation plans
Respond to requests from regulatory bodies, planners, and auditors
Maintain and update internal compliance policies and procedures
Support and prepare for compliance audits
Monitor new and upcoming FERC and NERC standards
Provide engineering support for capital projects, equipment failures, outages, maintenance, and testing
Review and track test results and support root cause analysis
Travel up to 20 percent to domestic and international sites
Adhere to all safety requirements and maintain a valid driver's license
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field, or 8 years of relevant experience
7 plus years of experience in generation, transmission, or protection engineering
Knowledge of NERC GO, GOP, and TO standards
Experience with ETAP or similar modeling tools
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Ability to work in plant environments with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and vibration
Ability to wear required PPE and safely operate 4WD vehicles
Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work at a computer regularly
Preferred
Familiarity with PSLF, PSS/E, or PSCAD
