Responsibilities
Work with engineering and network operations support teams to resolve any hardware/technical issues and implement changes
Work with cross functional teams to define project requirements and planning necessary to deliver quality products on time
Work with customer care teams to monitor, identify, and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
Provide technical content used to create marketing/sales collateral
Accountable for forecasting demand on the GCI network (satellite, microwave, core, TERRA, HFC, Mobility)
Provides forecasts bi-annually for input into the LRP (long range plan)
Provides ad-hoc capacity checks as requested from other GCI departments
Coordinates with other departments to optimize costs by consolidating or 'right sizing' leased capacity as necessary
Accountable for automating and optimizing processes, workflows, and tools
Qualification
Required
A combination of relevant work experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may substitute to meet the total years required on a year-for-year basis
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related field
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in relevant field
Preferred
Professional or Expert level Certifications: Cisco CCNA, MEF CECP, SCTE Dep, (SCTE DEP (DOCSIS Engineering Professional) Certified SOA Architect, CITA, EACOE
Telecommunications experience
Other telecom industry or job specific certifications
