Wisconsin 4-H Positive Youth Development Outdoor Education Specialist
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a 4-H Positive Youth Development Outdoor Education Specialist to provide leadership for statewide youth programming in outdoor education. This role involves coordinating shooting sports, ATV safety programs, and supporting county-based educators to enhance youth development opportunities across Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
Leads the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program
Assists with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending
Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
Qualification
Required
5 years of relevant professional service or volunteer/education experience
Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating youth programs focused on outdoor education
Experience planning and implementing educational programs
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Demonstrated ability to provide responsive educational programs for people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives
Bachelor's degree within a related field
Preferred
Experience creating and overseeing program budgets
Experience in standardization of policies, practices, and systems related to youth or adult programming
Experience in cross-organizational partnerships
Experience supervising staff and volunteers
Demonstrated understanding of positive youth development with the application of outdoor education, shooting sports, and ATV safety issues as they relate to both rural and urban communities
Master's degree in a related field of study such as Education, Youth Development, Environmental Education, Outdoor Education, etc
Certification(s) from relevant state or national certifying agencies in areas related to shooting sports and/or ATV safety, e.g. Wisconsin Department of National Resources (DNR) or the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)
