The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor-In-Residence in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, developing curriculum, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental activities.

Accounting

Responsibilities

Developing and teaching courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering areas including but not limited to Digital Logic Design I & II, Circuits I & II, Digital Systems Design and Architecture, and Senior Design capstone
Prepare and deliver lectures
Lead discussions
Provide hands-on instructions
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
ABET evaluation and other departmental activities
Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters
Participate in the department’s and college’s meetings
Serve on the committees

Required

This position requires a Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) must be obtained prior to the start date

Preferred

Candidates are expected to hold a PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related area is preferred
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to high-quality education, with the ability to engage and inspire students
They should also have knowledge of current industry practices and emerging trends in construction and management
