The Research Scientific Publishing and Repository Specialist will serve as a senior editor and facilitate educational and publication repository initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance scientific publishing efforts.

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior editor for key manuscripts and projects
Act as the primary facilitator of educational and publication repository initiatives
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Moffitt Publication Repository
Manage the Manuscript Pre-Submission Review Process
Edit SOPs, topic guidelines, webpages, and resource guides
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including grant administrators and sponsors
Develop and maintain internal tracking and reporting required by grants and research projects
Lead educational initiatives in scientific writing and publishing for faculty, postdocs, and graduate students
Develop materials on open access, scholarly communications, and academic identity management
Promote scholarly copyright education and develop programs and best practices
Provide editorial support for high-priority manuscripts and grant applications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or technical writing (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, technical writing, or related field)
Five (5) years of experience in a research or academic setting, with a focus on scientific editing/writing
Medical Writer Certified (MWC®) required within one (1) year of hire
