Responsibilities

Establish a clear vision for the unified data organization, that emphasizes the importance of collaboration and innovation
Lead the modernization efforts of the Phreesia data stack and driving the implementation of a robust and scalable integrated data infrastructure that serves the needs of the business
Lead, mentor, and grow multiple high-performing agile based data teams
Develop and mentor leaders, building a strong leadership bench
Instill a culture of quality throughout the engineering organization, through process, tooling, and standards, with the aim of building trust in our data
Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement, and empowerment
Advocates for needed changes across the organization that add to our success

Required

Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing teams and managers
Proven success leading data organizations through modernization efforts and major platform shifts (e.g., cloud migrations, BI platform overhauls)
Deep expertise in building and operating modern data platforms
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL frameworks, semantic layers, data science techniques, and data governance best practices
Track record of developing and leading high-performing engineering and data science teams and driving cultural change
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and business stakeholders
Identify areas where Data Science and Data Engineering can create value for Phreesia and advocate on their behalf
Passionate about building a quality-first engineering culture and delivering trusted, reliable data solutions

Preferred

Experience with Snowflake strongly preferred
Experience working with external consulting firms on large-scale initiatives
