Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, developing deep, trusted relationships with boards, C-suite executives, and legal counsel
Drive business development and cross-sell governance and compensation advisory services to expand your book of business
Deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and thought leadership to clients and at industry events
Advise clients on best practices in corporate governance, board composition, ESG, and shareholder engagement
Draft, review and negotiate complex governance and compensation documents, including proxy statements, compensation plans, and board policies
Interpret and apply regulatory developments (SEC, stock exchange requirements) and proxy advisor policies to client situations
Develop and implement long-term governance strategies that align with organizational objectives and investor expectations
Counsel clients on engagement strategies with investors and proxy advisory firms, including preparation for annual meetings and shareholder proposals
Leverage your legal, investor, or proxy advisor experience to anticipate and address emerging governance risks and opportunities
Mentor and develop junior consultants; provide technical guidance and feedback
Lead workshops and training sessions for board members and executives on governance, fiduciary duties, compensation design, and legal trends
Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
Oversee the collection and interpretation of governance, ESG, and compensation data to inform client recommendations
Author white papers, articles, and presentations to enhance Aon’s market presence and thought leadership
