Responsibilities

Interprets complex plans and specifications; confers with Engineers, Architects and Project Officers
Assists & advises Project Management, Expediters, applicants, contractor/sub-contractors and Construction Managers
Prepares detailed inspection reports that are transmitted to the Project Officers
Maintains computerized records of files & reports on the progress of projects (i.e., CIP and line)
Inspects field construction sites/facilities to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards and makes checks of work in progress
Makes periodic visits to projects and makes final inspection of completed work
Maintains updated information on all relevant codes, specifications, State and local laws, etc
Reviews regulatory documents required for the closeout process
Assists Plan Examiners/Engineers to achieve signoffs
Occasionally attends training in inspection techniques relating to acceptability of materials, methods, and work performed
Reviews laboratory tests to ensure that materials meet specifications; performs inspections

NYC Master Plumber’s LicenseBuilding construction experiencePlumbing experienceInspection techniquesRegulatory compliance

Required

NYC Master Plumber's License
Eight years of relevant building construction experience, four years must have been working in plumbing
